Paragon Aviation Group Celebrates the Inspiring Success of the “Fly for a Cure” Campaign
Cypress, TX – November 2024 – In its ninth year, the "Fly for a Cure" campaign by Paragon Aviation Group has once again demonstrated its remarkable ability to rally the aviation community in the fight against breast cancer. This initiative, prominently featured at the recent NBAA BACE event, has successfully increased awareness and raised crucial funding for breast cancer research, with contributions pouring in from partners around the globe.
The campaign not only fosters a sense of unity within the aviation sector but also shines a light on personal stories of resilience and hope. One such poignant narrative was shared by a follower of Paragon’s social media, Latricia Wilds, who dedicated her submission to her Aunt Amy, a breast cancer survivor and a beacon of inspiration.
In the summer of 2018, her aunt Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer during a routine mammogram. Despite the daunting road ahead, she faced her diagnosis bravely, undergoing a double mastectomy, several rounds of radiation, and multiple reconstruction surgeries. Through her journey, Amy's unwavering spirit was evident as she “rang the bell” in February 2019, marking the end of her treatments and the start of a new, hopeful chapter of her life.
Amy, who teaches fourth grade at the Indiana School for the Deaf, continues to influence and uplift others with her indomitable positivity and strength. Her story is a powerful reminder of the relentless human spirit, aptly echoed in her favorite quote by Bob Marley, “You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice.”
Crystal Kubeczka, President of Paragon Aviation Group, expressed profound appreciation for the inspiring stories and tremendous support that have propelled the campaign forward. "The 'Fly for a Cure' campaign has once again shown the importance of community and the impact of shared experiences in our collective quest to overcome breast cancer," said Kubeczka.
As the "Fly for a Cure" campaign looks to the future, its mission remains steadfast: to promote early detection, support those battling breast cancer, and fund ongoing research. The aviation community and the public are encouraged to engage with and support these vital efforts through the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
