Paragon Aviation Group Holds Eighth Biannual Leadership Meeting
Paragon Aviation Group® held their eighth biannual Leadership Meeting from October 7th – 10th at ProJet Aviation (KJYO) in Leesburg, VA.
ProJet Aviation was the host location for the Paragon Network® Leadership Meeting. These meetings are coordinated by Paragon corporate specifically for senior management and owners from Paragon member FBOs. They include a comprehensive on-site evaluation with constructive feedback, shared best practices, guest speakers, a teambuilding activity, and other networking opportunities.
The teambuilding event was a charitable activity in which attendees played a fun dice game called “Right, Left, Center”. Winners of the teambuilding event included Gary Forster (ExecuJet), Steve Lee (Clay Lacy), and Jason Gallant (ProJet). Instead of an individuals winning a prize at the end of the game, $1,500.00 was donated to Odyssey Dorian Relief to aid the efforts supporting The Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian hit the islands last month.
An MVP was voted on by the group based on who they believe provided the most value throughout the meeting. This year’s winner was Julie O’Brien, General Manager at ProJet Aviation. Not only did Julie’s FBO do an excellent job hosting the meeting, but she was an active participant and her input was noteworthy. An “Awesome Idea” is also shared by each attendee and the group votes on the best one. Will Zimdars, FBO Manager with Silverhawk Aviation (KLNK), took home this honor.
“The purpose of the Leadership Meetings is for each member to gain more insight into their own FBO by building relationships and developing better practices,” said Megan Barnes, President of Paragon Aviation Group. “The more our members share with each other during these meetings, the stronger our network becomes and in turn helps improve their operational, service and sales efforts.
Overall, attendees agreed the meeting exceeded expectations and feedback post meeting included comments such as: “Event was great as always”, “Loved the experience”, and “It was a great gathering.” An international location is being scouted for next year’s September meeting.
